Thank you for the recent work you performed for the Chevron Texaco Salt Lake Refinery. We appreciated the detailed analysis and thorough report on the survey findings for our #2 and #3 Cooling Water Towers.
With the report you provided we prepared a bid package to send to cooling tower design and revamp companies for evaluation of tower upgrades for improved performance. Our plan is to make your suggested modifications to our cooling towers to achieve benefits described in your report.
Your evaluation and diagnostic analysis of our towers was invaluable in understanding the limitations of the towers studied and the opportunities present to improve their operation.

I am pleased to tell you, that this spring, we will build a brand new cooling tower at our Montreal-East LubOil plant to replace the one that you evaluated in October 2004. We used your accurate thermal performance evaluation as well as some of your comments on the tower structure itself in our evaluation to justify the project.
The valuable information included in your well-presented report on the poor thermal performance of the tower has been used in our justification process. Your concerns about some of the design weaknesses, such as the short plenum, were largely considered as well. Your well-explained impact of the new production unit, on the overall thermal performance of the tower, and your comments on the poor condition of some parts of the tower contributed to the decision process as well.
We are very happy to have conducted that performance audit with DCS.
