The Cooling Tower Status Test will determine the present thermal capability of the cooling tower relative to the design specification, by either the Performance Curve Method or by the Characteristic Curve Method. A concise report is issued together with either a set of Performance Curves (Cold Water Temperature vs. Wet Bulb Temperature) or a Characteristic Curve (KaV/L vs. L/G) for the cooling tower's current thermal capability. The aim of the Cooling Tower Status Test is progressive continuous improvement. This test is not an Acceptance Test for contractual cooling tower performance verification.
